Agreed. My point was that when the few opportunities arose for Swansea to counter us, they did so with respectable promise and explosiveness.

Ourselves on the other hand, for whatever reason we seem more hesitant when the opportunities to break did/do arise and it often peters out.

Obviously for most of the game we were facing a resilient and layered defence, which is another issue, but we need to take our opportunities.

Well they did get dicked 3-0 yesterday in their derby, so we aint a million miles away.

I have a concern though and that is what will be our style of football....

I haven't seen anything to convince me yet, but it is only 12 games so not going to jump all over him

You know that I stuck by Bobby (wrongly so in hindsight), but I don't get when some of our fanbase (maybe it is just online) turned into such cry arses.

Yeh, we've been crap lately. We all know that. Nobody will know that more than Koeman.

He'll know what he wants and he'll have an idea of how to get there.

It's 12 games in. We're better off than we were this time last year when we'd been very good ('style wise') and were all pretty happy with it (in the main).

Despite my words and my flip flopping earlier on in the year, the only time I 100% wanted Martinez sacked was after the West Ham game, he retained my support right up until that game.

I get the impression that more than a minority would happily see Koeman sacked tomorrow, which I find baffling, he wasnt my choice, I was fairly against his appointment, but I warmed to him and I can see how he wants us to play and I like his no jive straight talking. The mans a winner, give him time, give him resources and he will do a job.

I dont understand why so many knives are out.

In the mainstay I don't think there's many knives out at all, and those who do so are most likely to be the knee-jerk and senseless type of fan.

In fact, I've not heard too many actual grumbles regarding Koeman apart from a few on here, but that's the pitfalls of the internet unfortunately.

Instead I see the issue is that, regardless of our position in the table, many people are questioning how much improvement there's actually been.

Be that the style of football, how our players perform individually or movements in the transfer window - not all attributable to Koeman obviously.

We have a fan base who believe it is justifiable to regularly boo home performances, so giving Koeman stick is another element of their fickleness.

People want automatic progress from the dark days of Martinez MKII and MKIII, and up to now we haven't seen the drastic change they expected.

A little bit of flair in performances, examples of some guile and maybe examples of having a solid game plan will alleviate peoples' fears.

Im not sure what your idea of proper football is David, but based on the last 2 years, I suspect you enjoy watching our CBs and GK increase their passing stats.

Koeman wants his teams athletic and extremely mobile in every position. It's a pretty basic outlook on how to build a team and I think it's at the expense of ingenuity and flair.

It all depends on how you apply the athletic and mobile model; look at the recent examples of Liverpool, Chelsea and Citeh for the possibilities.

Currently our athleticism (and I use that word loosely) is not regularly transformed into a style of play that offers flair and attacking prowess.

But then again, I don't actually think that we're playing anyway near to a standard that shows being extremely mobile - far from it.

We're yet to see how and whether Koeman can apply a model that offers both athleticism and fluid, attacking football - I'm sure it's what he wants.

The question will then be what to do with it, which I don't think will be Koeman's strong point.

Each of those teams has at least two creative forces in them. They play through them and they dictate the whole team's performance. I dont see Koeman going after a player of that nature. Who in that vein did he have at S'ton you could point to?

As a player he was strong and competitive. He basically wants that x 10.

You win the ball back in THEIR HALF.

There is no transition from defence to attack, cos our attacker has won the ball and he should have 2 options out wide and Ross overlapping him.

Instead the overhyped trumpet is crying like a lil bish cos somebody made him job 5 yards for a pass.
