Ronald Koeman discussion

The stuff he got wrong today (apart from having them fired up after Chelseageddon...which should have been the easiest thing in the world, btw):

Bringing back Baines straight away after a prolonged injury
Playing that clown goalie
Playing that clown Jagielka
No subs HT (so much for the "decisiveness")
No pressing first half

Depends if he can get actual footballers into the team. I find it hard to judge when players like McCarthy and Mirallas are the best options available

Definitely question the current manager of course. But I can't sway from one extreme to the other so soon into this.
My favourite is Barkley's backup - the football abomination Tom Cleverley.

He does not want to try youth like Davies and Holgate. The like in Jagielka deserves to get drop. January is vital. Need to start bringing players in now.

Won't disagree with you on that. Thing is he needs to get new players in to see if it really works.

Pretty much spot on really. What worries me most is there seems to be a distinct lack of character in this team, in that they don't seem to be able to be fired up.

Maybe he hasn't put the youth in for the good reason that he sees them everyday and sees they are not yet fully ready. Holgate is nowhere near being a competent CB and Davies is getting nurtured and readied instead of being destroyed in a lions den that is the PL. Think Koeman knows there strengths and weaknesses more than us and if they show up and shine on the training pitch against the first teamers then will rightly be given a go.
