That's the spirit. Every level of our club displays this defeatist attitude. As fans, we could change this. How do you expect us to change on the pitch, when even the fans take this attitude. Maybe, just maybe, if we were a little more positive it may translate down to pitch level. Just a thought. Lickle old Everton complex.
Don't you know what club this is? Pessimism is our oxygen
That's it really. Atkinson Derby I was fuming with rage at the sheer hypocrisy and their gloating.
10 years 20 Derbys - we don't turn up for 8 of them.. we draw 5. and win 3 deservedly and the other 4 we get one result less than we deserve thanks to a dipstick mistake or a rotten ref (Atkinson, Poll, Clatt being 3 obvious examples) so let's say 2 draw, 2 defeats
That's 3 wins 7 draws 10 losses (should be 5-7-8). Feels about right to me.
No mate, it doesn't work like that. It's the other way round.
Really? So we've got to be winning for you to SUPPORT the team?
Tell you a Derby I hated for us bottling it. When Kyrgiakos got sent off and we still didn't turn up.

Enjoyed that.
Gerrard's failure in L.A.
Really?
So when you see am out of form liverpool beat us 3 0 and give Gerrard a hat trick. or you see the ref rob us again and again. Or you watch as you sit there for 45 minutes and wait to be knocked out the cup, or you see us get hammered on the way to a title run where you just look insignificant. How about being embarrassed when the team don't even bother turning up because the manager has lost all credibility. How about derbies where your club has spent piss all in 2 years and you see their 50 million pound striker score with ease.
Back when I was a kid you turned up to derbies with hope. my first ever derby and some Scottish fella on loan from rangers sent the crowd crazy after such a poor start to the season where we were dead and buried. Back then there was passion in our club, the game meant something and it meant something to us all from the players to the fans. When was the last time the Derby meant something to us? when was the last time we genuinely turned up into a game and really fought them for pride ? Until the players show a bit of passion for the game after 15 years then I'm sorry for being a little uninterested.
And you know what makes it so much worse? We lose and they laugh at us, we best them and they still laugh because us besting them is such an insignificance to them now. That is how far that game has fallen, so why even bother looking forward to a game that as recent history has proven , even if the team turn up, the ref will just help them win anyway?
Sounds like he was reviled by LA Galaxy fans.He genuinely thought he could replicate Beckham in making US Soccer a global attraction. The man has no decency about him, even some Liverpool fans have struggled for a come back to the phrase 'Stevie Me'. Don't get me wrong he had one hell of a career at Liverpool (and successful) but when he left LFC you always knew he wouldn't retire quietly, too much ego to do so.
