I wouldn't be too worried about those Clique people Ian, bunch of old farts who haven't moved with the GOT times.

Hands down the most interesting dynamic is it's the ones who supported Martinez the longest are (in the main) the first to turn on Koeman (after 4 monthslol) it's like they're so bitter about being so wrong about Martinez that they 'won't be letting that happen again'

There's a couple of people like that for sure haha. It's very noticeable.

I'm pretty luke warm on Koeman from the get go, but I'll back him, providing he backs the club.

It's funny, Ian......I have been thinking pretty much the same about your good self.

You are so desperate to have your detestation of Bobby vindicated that you have turned a blind eye to the developing shambles on the pitch and the circus playing out off it.

You don't have to be like this.

You can open your eyes and comment about Dutchie Moyes's shortcomings without fear of anyone saying to you "ah, but you wanted Martinez gone.....be careful what you wish for".

The Martinez Wars are long over.

You don't need to fight them no moah

But you should not take a rosy eyed, deluded view of his successor until such time as it becomes apparent we are any better off with him at the helm.

Bold bit. It already has been. It's over. Just useful for comparison now both on and off the pitch.

If Koeman doesn't get results THIS season (no season of grace) I'll be calling him. Not this early though. That screams bitter agendas. Begrudgingly the only one who deserves credit (of the main protagonists) is Zatara as he's been consistent since day one.

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

We still need to get behind the manager, like him or not. It would be silly to get rid after a short period of time and it's pointless calling him names etc. he is still the manager of our club and it's early days.

Saying that, have I been impressed with how the team performs, no, impressed with how he handles himself, no.

He got into Phil McNulty's superstar managers article and it's gone to his head, basically he has taken us back to where we should have been all along with the team we had. But that shouldn't be classed as success.

I'm hoping that 1) someone pulls him up on what he said and 2) we start looking like we have a clear direction of how we want to play and don't go missing for 45 minutes at a time.

Sort it out Koeman and earn your corn.

I think it's more a case of giving him time to turn the shambles of a squad and dressing room that Martinez left around, and not jumping straight to one side of the "in or out" debate after 4 months. If we're crap come the end of the season and have just finished 12th with the same crop of awful players then yeah, there won't be anyone on here blindly defending him like there was with Martinez.

In context of the manager (being the manager thread) I don't know how anyone could write our manager off after 3 months? You either back the manager of your club or you want rid, and after 3 months, i would question anyone on the latter side of that fence.

Correct. The echo podcast is a good listen and that Tony Scott is usually bang on.
