who's to blame?

The thread is titled 'who's to blame' immediately posted after a game we get pummelled 5-0. I'm sorry, and I'm fully awake, but Mosh is not to blame for that. A Premier League team should not be getting beat in them circumstances. The score line happens sometimes, but the lack of effort/proffessionalism from them players tonight was a crime and Koeman tactics weren't exactly great. But, I know, let's blame Mosh.
By common opinion (and mine) Williams is an imrovement on Stones. By common opinion (not mine!) Bolasie has been a good signing. We have one of the best strikers in Europe, all playing for a team who, many of us think underperformed last season. That performance was as bad as anything I've seen in the last decade. We still have a talented team and if that can't be harnessed, there's only one person to blame. And that's the Manager.

We have not got a talented team at all,bolaise is not a good signing and if you really think Williams is an improvement on stones I'm gobsmacked.

For me Koeman....

Obviously the loss of Idrissa Gueye was huge (I hope we've got our recruitment up for Jan as Him and Bolasie being missing will be huge), and the idea of playing 5 at the back was also a risky decision which has backfired.

I mean, you can't blame Koeman for Stekelenburg having a bit of a mare for the first two, but the fact we just gave up from there out, you absolutely can. We lacked any sense of urgency and Koeman seemed to struggle to motivate the players.

I'm not jumping on any Koeman bandwagon, unbelievably, we're still 6th, and whilst we were absolutely appalling, Chelsea were very very good today. I think the concerning thing, from my perspective is, just under three months ago, I left Goodison extremely content, after watching Everton play some thoroughly pleasing football in a draw to Spurs, since then, we haven't really kicked on, and results like Burnley, Palace and Bournemouth happen. It's been dire more often than not, and despite dominating games, we never kill a game off. When will it get better?

We're missing a bit of spark, the likes of Lennon, Deulofeu (even though he's been garbage), Davies and Holgate must be wondering what they have to do to get a game sometimes, especially when the likes of Cleverley (no disrespect to him, but whilst he genuinely doesn't do much wrong, he doesn't actually do much 'right', which can help change a game) are getting 90 minutes each week.

It'll come good, and whilst i'm wounded after that defeat, i'd rather get it out the way now, then straight after International Break. Koeman now has 2 weeks to fix his team ahead of a huge game against Swansea.

Chelsea and their Damon Albarn- wannabe, Tory supporting antics.

They were far better than us in all honesty, but the players didn't put any sort of effort in once the first went in. Jagielka was abysmal as was every other Everton player on the pitch. We missed out on lots of strengthening this Summer, but even more so over the past two years when we've been stripped of any semblance of steeliness and left with a squad that isn't half as good as we're led to believe.

some varied but justified responses...poll looks like it's the players getting the most chaff heading their way. Bit worrying as they're all we've got for the next 8 games or so. Koeman needs to get the hairdryer out (if he has one).

I was amazed he dropped Holgate when he did. He'd be more than capable, was consistently getting forward and moving. My biggest fault with Coleman is that he never ever moves for the player (few others are culprits also).

Today - Koeman, he picked the team and formation which once again had to be changed mid game as it was wrong from the start, do these even do their homework, doesn't look like it. Fed up.

On the whole, the players aren't up to it.

I've been very critical of Bolasie all season over on his thread, just don't think he's got it. But many posters have argued that he's been nothing but a success. Hence why I put (not mine) in brackets. Take this game away and Williams has been a good signing, is one game really going to change people's opinion of him? Surely not. He's been an improvement on Stones from last season, which wasn't hard, admittedly.
Most were saying Martinez had a talented team, underperforming. Or did he have us as par?

He was up against Arnautovic...took him apart piece by piece and still made some tremendous runs forward and good crosses too.

Then dropped when Coleman came back. The same Coleman whose been downhill over 3 seasons now....
