Ring nearest cab office, I'll give you £500 to get me to Goodison asap, must have broke down at least an hour before the game, can't have been that far from Liverpool, should have been able to make it?

Looked miserable as sin when he got into his car after the game.
If there's one player that needs the confidence of his manager to perform its Gerry. Unfortunately and it's not a surprise I think Koeman has broke him.

I hope he reacts the right way and keeps working in training because mental strength is his biggest weakness and this is a chance to prove that's not the case.

He needs to be confident because he believes in himself.

Goat's posted somewhere that Geri's car broke down on his way to the match which is why he wasn't in the squad. Turns out Mori was giving him a lift home which might all explain why he looked so bloody miserable.

Martinez believed in him and we didn't get too many brilliant performances.

For me he's the type of player that's great for the fans to watch but when you look at his overall impact on a game then he's a bit of a liability.

That's not true. He didn't get in the team until November and from then till January he was on fire. Then he had a poor game against City in the cup and it was obvious Martinez blamed him and he barely played again until the FA Cup semi final when as always he's brought in to save a game which we almost did.

Got a fair few assists, so not a liability..

He wasn't a regular starter under Emmery, Koeman or Martinez. That suggests to me there are weaknesses in his game that he's not overcoming.
