Still conceding goals in the air I see from crosses.

Spurs - good side.

WBA, Stoke, Sunderland, Boro, Bournemouth, Palace - average sides.

First 5 games was good but last two against poorish teams has been dreadful, play like that against the bigger/better sides we'll get tonked. Hope we pull something out the bag vs city.

Ruined my weekend this.

A very scrappy 2nd half. Palace are a very average side yet they could have won that.

Coleman left to pick up Benteke for their goal was dissappointing from a defensive point of view.

Lukaku should have taken that chance with 19 mins to go, different game then.

Bolasie was trying too hard but had a poor enough game to be fair.

If we have the same level of intensity against City as we have for most of the season we will do ok. City's defense is not great and if De Bryune is still out we've a decent chance.

Just back from the match and surprised ( well, not that surprised) at the negativity on here. Palace are a very decent side....strong and organised at the back, direct and physical up front and totally committed as a unit.
They were fitter than us by a long chalk....every single player. Not a chance they'll finish outside the top 10 - Pardew has a good, tight squad there.

Oviedo was excellent first half and decent second half.
Jagielka is a woeful distributor of the ball....a professional footballer for over a decade and he still can't pass to a team mate. Needs to be farmed out to Sunderland and replaced with Funes Mori.
Cleverley will never be liked unfortunately. First half he was really good, second half he faded like everyone else, but the boo-boys have it in for him.

Jennifer Jewel looked delicious as usual.

The Chang is still rotten.

First half we played some good stuff and the goal was sublime but second half we were very flat, that said I probably would have taken a point at the start given the way Pardew sets his teams up. 14 points out of 21 and 3rd in the table (for now) going into the second international break of the season is not a bad start by any means, maybe could have been an extra 4-5 points better off though

First match in six years and I wasn't impressed. We didn't get going at all. Crosses and passes from the back were constantly over hit and we just didn't come out for the second half at all. Oviedo was sound defensively but kept smacking it up the pitch to no one in particular. Cleverley was useless. Never in position when we broke or when we defended. That second half was atrocious.

On the bright side my girl caught the Everton bug and I got my dad his car flags.

At least you got a positive out of it.
