I do not think jags is a good captain. why did Everton not keep Stones and build a team round him? I do not even think though Everton were brave or clever enough to hold out for a good transfer fee.

Too many static players in the centre of the park, Watching Arsenal, City and the RS recently you see them sprinting in droves towards the box to get on the end of a move. Our play is old fashioned and predictable. 3 games on the bounce now I could see we wouldn't score from the last 20 minutes onwards.

If we Evertonians had been as impatient and as petulant in the early 1980s as we are today, Howard Kendall would have been shown the door before he could win anything at all. We didn't once finish in the top 6 during Kendall's first three seasons as manager.

Rebuilding squads takes time. It took Martinez several years to turn us into a bottom half side; it could take Ronald even longer than that to make us great again. We will get there eventually, though. Our new manager is a proven winner.

Keep the faith.

Point was a fair result if anything Palace probably shaded it. Actually not downhearted by that result, think we defended well and dealt with the aerial bombardment quiet well, Benteke's goal was great centre forward play, looked to me that Steklenburg was a bit flat footed for it but that would be nit-picking. Going forward we looked disjointed, Coleman actually looked our most dangerous outlet. We probably would have settled for this start if giving the choice at the start of season.New manager, new ideas.

Onwards and upwards

Funny thing is Evertonians were impatient in the early 80's aswell, Majority wanted rid of HK, thank god Philip Carter knew better.

Just back from the game, think we just about deserved a point tbh. Can't remember us creating much and our lack of movement is worrying. Not entirely sure what the game plan was tonight with Cleverley in there. Take a point in the end considering could easily have lost second half.
