I don't think he's saying that mate, to be honest. So what you're saying is from the ages of 19-22 he hasn't been excellent in every game he's played in?

The stick Barkley gets from Evertonians most of the time is a disgrace although at Sunderland he deserved it. But on the other hand he also needs to sort himself out, and quickly, because I get the feeling this manager won't tolerate him past this season if he doesn't get his act together and stick to the basics whilst he regains some form.
There are plenty of other Everton players who seem to get let off the hook though. Mirallas is a perfect example. Anonymous in 6 or 7 games out of 10.
Deulofeu, Coleman, Lukaku (when he's not scoring), Mirallas and Valencia in his short time here all need to have a word with themselves. Some shocking performances from them recently along with Barkley.
Makes me laugh how players like Cleverley get slaughtered as well. Obviously a limited player but at least he gives 100% every game regardless of how well he is playing. The attitude from certain players is pathetic.

He said he's been poor or mediocre more than he's been good. Which is the truth, and is also very concerning. But that's what he said mate.
I think this just highlights the bigger picture here. Ross is a really hardworking lad and because we've actually started working on set pieces he's suddenly become good at putting the ball in to a dangerous area, like his ball into Lukaku early on Saturday. The longer he works with Koeman and the new coaching staff the better he will become. He's not had a good start to the season by any means but I still think he'll come good.I'll say one thing for him this season his set piece delivery has improved considerably

You essentially said he expected a player, between the ages of 19-22, to be outstanding in every game he plays in, which is far off what he claimed.
I think, for a young player who supposedly has such a bright future ahead of him, it's not strange to think he should be impressing more than disappointing. Right?
He could be forgiven for being very good one week then average the next, to a degree. But that's not how it is. For Ross it's more like exceptional in 1 game out of 10, awful in 6 of the games, and average in the remaining 3, and that's an extremely disappointing sign for the future.
Released in the 87th minute, got sent off more or less on purpose.
Well, he blows hot and cold, which is why people are saying when he's good he's great, and when he's bad he's bloody terrible. And also why our friend above said he is more often terrible than great. So he's sometimes very good. And when he's not, he's mediocre /average or poor?
Would you say he's average most of the time? With some excellent performance and some garbage ones?
How do you define average mate?
Average for Ross? Average for Lampard in his prime in a title winning team? Or average for someone like Jonjo Shelvey?

Yeh they reach the box !!I'll say one thing for him this season his set piece delivery has improved considerably
I think he's saying Barkley has more crap games than good games over the course of the season, which is absolutely true whether the super blues like it or not.
