You do realise that some parents genuinely struggle to figure the solution to their kids bad antics? That doesn't automatically make them bad parents. My daughter is going through a classic 'terrible twoes' phase, and try as I might, there are times I simply cannot fathom how to placate her without setting awful precedents. Sometimes ignoring it is the only solution, and whilst that solution is probably not best tested on an aeroplane, please don't think the parents are scum purely because their kid is having a tantrum.

Can you tell I don't have kids :). Its the parents who generally don't give a toss that their kid is annoying everybody else in that vicinity. They have no boundaries so end up doing what they hell they like. I know its a sensitive subject but smacking should be allowed within reason, it never did us any harm.

Whisper it, but you'll find most parents still use a moderate smack on the arse as a last resort attempt to show the severity of their kids antics. Anyone who claims they don't is lying.

When I worked at the palace (indoor fair) in New Brighton (Ay! I just thought - that's nearly 30 yrs ago; where does the time go ffs!?), he was getting free rides for his two kids and cracking his cack jokes to the other lads...Not on MY satellite, he never.
