Don't know what to do with him really. Let him play - he's awfully out of form, put him on the bench - he never was and don't think he'll ever be an impact player. If Koeman would bench him, he won't get his place back imo.
 
He won't start against Palace.


That hooking at half time doesn't seem to have given him the kick up the ass we all wanted it to.
 
Everything we do gets filtered through the wings because Barkley can't or won't create through the middle. How many chances did he create from open play? I don't remember a single one. He's hardly a goal threat either apart from the occasional (deflected) worldie.

Moving him back won't work because he can't defend (he nearly gave away a goal letting his man easily past him) and lacks positional sense.

If he weren't an academy player he'd have been long replaced. His days as a starter should be numbered.

Gerard D, also awful.
Ross did his job insofar as getting it to the widemen in space, there was no end product today.
Lukaku didn't show for the ball.
Still needs to be quicker on the ball.
 
Useless ... 23 still cannot dictate a game. Hate him but Gerrard at his age was running the game for the RS and had played a part in a treble, scoring important goals along the way. Barkley has 1 in 5 good games if your lucky.
