Poorest game tonight in the first half not interested? KM in the first half though was absent as well he had a far better 2nd half del boy pace opened them up fetched everyone alive IMO in that blistering 2nd half!

and to think i got slated for calling him rubbish the other week... another poor game from him again tonight, for someone who needs to step up his game he hasnt done it yet again. When he gave the ball away 3 times in about 30 seconds i was screaming at the TV! totally right decision to take him off at half time...

Just hope Koeman can turn him around, as much as i think hes been rubbish i think there is a good player inside him trying to come out..

He strikes me as a player who really needs careful management, if RK has the time patience and inclination we may see him blossom, otherwise I fear he will become peripheral but he needs to feel the love of the fans, however undeserving, because he is all about confidence. The big challenge is whether he can tough it out mentally and for all our sakes I hope he can.

Me too, but he is going to have to toughen up mentally fairly soon otherwise he's never going to be the player we all hoped he would. Everton are too big a club for him to get an easy ride indefinitely. Hope he bounces back.

Just not his night tonight, not a problem at all. He'll be back against Boro and he'll be be back on it.
I think he will keep the same team that finished. It would be unjust not to.

Barkley like Deulofeu will just have to wait for his chance.

I can see those two being the players rotated the most this season. Both are far too inconsistent and I think one of the biggest mistakes Martinez made was having a few players who were undrop-able.

Fine by me too to be honest, competition won't do a few of that lot any harm.

Bench for Boro game as needs to learn he isn't guaranteed a start as started ok but faded quickly and was very off with his passing and decision making.

Didn't work for Ross tonight. Sunderland didn't give him a second on the ball and he couldn't cope. Too many times guilty of waiting for the ball rather than going to it. He will learn and come back stronger. To be quite honest if Lukaku didn't come out for the 2nd half I would not have been surprised.
Agreed if we had better forward options Koeman may have subbed lukaku also.

They both need to learn that when it's not going your way you dig in & make sure you get the basics right they both lost almost every encounter with a Sunderland player they had which isn't good enough.

Mind you, will we need both Gana and Barry at home to Boro?

I could see Barry being held in reserve this Saturday with Ross playing further back and surging forward.

Del in the schemer's position, just behind Rom.

Failing that, Kev's place might be at risk because Bolasie looks better on the left.

Possibly but for Christ sake can we get delefeou fully fit the lad came on at half time & was gassed after 20 mins again

I think Koeman's comments about him standing up and proving his worth are right.

He dropped out of form and was lucky, if you can say that, to get the England squad on that form.

He needs to wake up now if he wants to become the player we all saw and want.

This is the first time in his career he has been publicly dropped by a manager so it is a lesson in management and character for him and Koeman.

He will come through and fire back soon!

Lukaku needs service. He's not the kind of striker that drops back and gets involved. He comes alive in the box.

When he went through his bad period last season it was because the team were poor. If we play well then Lukaku plays well and we can't expect him to do it on his own every game like he did against Chelsea.
