This is about right for me, our own fault, I always thought it was a gamble getting him in the first place, well and truly backfired.

EP's sweet talking would get him into anywhere, like manager of the worlds second strongest team, all talk and that's as far as he goes. When Mike Walker got the elbow he admitted he was out of his depth and left with grace..................this one takes us to the cleaners

Add in the fact the ol' Bobby isn't an Evertonian. Despite 'getting' the club, I doubt it holds a special place in his heart like it would for us.

I would like to think I would think twice before taking my beloved for the full amount, but know this.... I would have no hesitation going for 100% if it was any other club.
Yes exactly.

If the tables were turned, and it was me getting the sack from Wigan, then it's 'thanks very much for the cash'.

If someone offered you £10m, then yes I'm certain 99.9% of us wouldn't think twice.

Then why is it that very few managers take the full value of their contracts after being fired? Brendan Rodgers reportedly had a deal of 5 million a year up to the point he found a new club. Sounds reasonable. Adkins got 500k despite having 2 years left on his contract at Southampton.

People can and do negotiate to suit the needs of all parties without dragging it through courts and creating excessive animosity.
