This is so Everton, absolute blind rage because we didnt sign a player none of us wanted? Sissoko was getting crucified on here for weeks as being lazy, going missing, being a mercenary etc. But because we were in for him on the last day, our missing out on him is now a disaster! Get a grip lads, i will have a bet with you now that at the end of the season Tom Davies will be better thought of at Everton than that great blert will at Spurs.

Jim White got a dildo in the ear in the name of bantz and took it like a man. He waited for the perfect moment then BOOM stuck his big sky donger up 1000's of blues and they've lost their minds. Put a big of cream on it lads you'll be rite. JimWhite 1 Bedwetters 0.

His net worth & education has zero to do with PR skills or the circus of football.

The text does not make him a fraud just naive about football. Put it on himself to defend the clubs name but it backfired as he obviously doesn't really get it.

Surround him with a better team & football people its fine... All we need is his money.

I don't think missing out on his signature is what's caused the fume mate, I think it's the alleged response from Moshiri that's done it and is the main cause of concern for some. I seem to remember a fair few being quite pleased that we'd missed out on Sissoko in the transfer thread.

I have no idea, none. I'm pretty sure you have no idea either. And the only person proffering an absolute in this little chat is you, after once again saying it's me who does it. You accept the positive absolutes and reject the negative ones out of hand. That is irrational.

Your right of course, in terms of hard and fast concrete evidence i.e. the books, that wont likely be known until the next financial year so many months to go.

However there are a number of key indicators for me none more so then resources we have had available for players, none signed you say, indeed, but we do know hard and fast bids were made for a variety players north of 25 mill in the preceeding weeks as confirmed by their clubs. The compensation payments for Walsh and Koeman, the redevelopment of Goodison, the purchase of BM dock site indicated more broadly then by posters on here.

There is every indication structurally that resources are there and many obstacles in terms of progress have been removed, with this in mind it alligns itself positively with the information shared that the debt has been cleared, personally i think it could have been done even with our organic revenue without Moshiri involvement given our net spend this window and our turnover/revenue.

So when you talk about logic and rationality i think there are key indicators to underline the information given on the debt and as such my belief, i was very sceptical about the new owners innitally and adviced with one or two others caution until action could be analysed, ive seen nothing only positive signs since in my assessment so they have built some trust and beleif in me, the timing of each of the former assessments have gone against popular opinion in our fanbase, but there you go.

On the opposite side we didnt sign players we wanted therefore the assumption is Moshiri hasnt invested, that seems irrational to me mate.

However im open to different opinions.

I can imagine Farhad telling Bob to go and buy some biscuits from Marks & Spencer. He then spends hours trying to buy cheaper biscuits at Netto, but unknowingly to him Netto had closed down ages ago. By this time all the other shops had closed for the day.

You know he'd come back with one of those cheap packs of broken biscuits as a last minute panic buy as Tesco were closing their doors for the night.

Niasse is our broken biscuits

By all accounts Moshiri is now calling the shots at Everton, so ultimately he has to be held responsible for what turned out to be a less than satisfactory transfer window.

I completely disagree with all the conspiracy crowd who claim we have to sell to buy. There were more than enough valid failed transfer attempts to prove otherwise. I doubt very much there ever was a pot of £100m set aside just for transfers, but wouldn't be surprised if this figure was available if you were to include the anticipated increased wages costs given the calibre of player we were after.

There is no doubt however that both our transfer strategy and it's execution need to be called into question and lessons learned in time for the January window. We tried to move the clubs stature from A to D, completely missing out B & C, in one transfer window, and I don't even think mega rich clubs like City, Chelsea and PSG managed this. Naïve to say the least.

To be honest I think we made a bit of a fool of ourselves at times and maybe the whole episode has been the reality check that we, the fans, and possibly the club needed. I know I've been getting lots of stick from my RS mates and family.

Overall, I'm happy with the quality of player that we brought in, with the exception of Valencia who I'll reserve judgement on for now. However there are still two glaring holes in our squad that haven't been addressed; a second striker and a playmaker. Conversely, I do think we dodged a bullet on more than one of our targets.

I also feel as though more could have been done to move on more of our deadwood. Can't believe Niasse is still here for one.

What really annoys me though is we missed out on several quality players, even at the death, who would have improved both our team and squad this season. Many of them were loan options, but they would have enabled us to move up the table the season, qualify for Europe, and make us a more attractive proposition next year to attract the higher class player we are after.

Can't believe that the likes of Hart went to Torino, Wilshire to Bournmouth and Bony to Stoke. Plus Hakim Ziyech sold for £10m. Truly believe we would have challenged top 4 with those players.

One the positive side, we do have a competitive squad provided we can keep Rom and Ross fit, we have a great manager in Koeman, I believe we have a good DOF in Walsh and, if we can learn from our mistakes in the last window, we still have our transfer kitty to spend in January/next summer.

We now need to put the disappointment of the window behind us and get behind the team cos I'm still expecting good, possibly great things this season.

Give him a chance like. Clearly some naivety from people at the club. A bit like when Moyes joined United and was it Woodward I think? They looked amateurish. And that was with the brand of Manchester United behind them.

A few windows later and they're looking far more astute in the window. So let Moshiri learn and hopefully we'll be a bit more wily next time.

As soon as he takes charge of the club, then he can get rid of Bill, Bob, woods, our PR dept and those club ambassadors and I will forget this window.
