None of this makes any sense. Why would Moshiri text JW "Watch this space", then not sign anyone and pull out of a £30M deal at the last minute....so as not to jeopardise Macca's place? Really?

Either the texts are fake and JW along with everyone else has been totally done, or maybe he's had too many cocktails at Casino Royale and was on his way home via the chippy. Either way, this is very odd.

The 'Watch this space' message sounds like a wind up as well to be honest - the exact phrase used to ridicule Kenwright over his transfer dealings after the Moutinho debacle. Also after months of seeming like very much a background figure who has rarely communicated with the fans, he suddenly starts messaging Jim White on Sky instead of using intermediaries as he would have done previously? Doesn't ring true to me.

Absolute disgraceful comments on this thread, I cannot believe how thick some of you are, you sit around the keyboard in hand, listening to the antichrist of sport, AKA Sky sports and suck up all the crap they spout out.
The alleged twitter says @everton now I do not use these speak any crap that comes to a vacant space in your head but a quick look @everton
shows no sign of any such message.
Moreover, I am of the opinion that many of those who have continually, have nothing good to say about Everton should take their keyboard elsewhere.
I have criticised the team on many occasions, but I am delighted with the players we have brought in, the management team and can see the value of Walsh, and believe we are closer to a new stadium than ever.
The problem with wanting Champions league class players is not the desire or the lack of money, but the simple fact we do not play in the Champions league.
Come January we could because of our signings and management team be in the mix for a place.
Remember also that our powder is still dry while others have used.
Rome was not built in a day, and after 20 years of stagnation Everton will not be rebuilt in 4 months and one transfer window.
By the way, I went to the Bolton match and if some of these players are our future, then we can look forward very optimistically.
No point in pointing them most of you will not know who they are.
just having a look on SSN's website there is no mention of Moshiri's statement. You'd think the way they are lording the Sissoko signing to Spurs they'd feature an article with an exclusive from one of the Premiership majority shareholders but nope, nothing!

meanwhile outside Moshiri's estate...

Clear the lot out. From elstone to Pr department and personal relations. Even offical YouTube Twitter and Facebook should have new PR team.

We have had an awful transfer window and been let down with promises that haven't been kept.

However club are tweeting about Season ticket sales and under 23 interviews.

Inept.

Either White's tweets are fake or he is tweeting spurious quotes from the majority shareholder of a Premiership club. Very odd either way.

As learned members have mentioned, the club would do well to re-assure us that club communication emanates from official and authorised channels only.

Don't agree at all that the club should issue some form of public defence of the failings of our transfer strategy as a whole, though will not be at all surprised if some attempt at this is forthcoming.

The best thing now is for Everton to analyse and take on board the mistakes made in recent weeks, and take action quietly to remedy the issues, so we don't see a repeat. You don't wash dirty linen in public. Drawing wider attention to our faults/failings will do no good for our reputation. Worse still would be to promise signings/funding in subsequent windows, which might be the sort of thing expected under a Kenwright-steered ship in similar circumstances.

Moshiri must assume a more authoritarian control of matters now, with all key personnel to be his appointees.

CAN WE ALL JUST AGREE ON A COUPLE OF THINGS..........

1. If Everton havnt released a statement against SSN in the next 24 hrs, that it was from Moshiri

2. If it was Moshiri, he's an absolute narna, and shouldn't be anywhere near our club

Can I get a hell ye on this...??

If it was inaccurate they could sue for deformation of character.

I am sure it is more of a Brazen attempt from the club to cover something up.

Strange statement. If we aren't replacing current players with better players what is the one of getting rid of the like in Osman and McGeady etc?

Lad, I'm getting the paragraph police onto you.

I genuinely feel for you if you have such a negative opinion of the team and club you support.

The idea that (i) Koeman and Walsh would join a club without proof of funds available is laughable (ii) it's known that Koeman met Moshiri very early on to discuss targets and budgets and (iii) we would never have got so far into so many deals without providing proof of funding.

A combination of poor execution and several players and clubs using us for their own purposes is the reason for the lower than anticipated levels of activity, not our ability to fund them.

It's fine to criticise the club, they deserve it after this end to the window but do it with accuracy.

he's a dull, repetitive, negative and annoying former banned poster and isn't really worth taking the time to respond to.

Now please tell your sources to sell Bolasie and get Stones back. Cheers Esk.
