Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I figured the Gabbiadini deal wouldnt go through due to Napoli's hand wringing. Since they were insistent on finding a replacement, but seemingly bad at that, Everton wasnt going to pin their backup striker hopes on a hope and a prayer. Now, I could see Napoli rushing to sign someone to get it done, but I think Everton are going to move hard towards Bony.
The bony deal is dead. Wage demands too high.

Di Marzio... who is iffy (not as bad as Tancredri like) to say the least.

But, if what he says is to be believed, we've pulled out because Napoli are taking too long to decide in which case, we've done what many people on here have wanted us to do when targets have 'stalled'
Who now?

Surely this is the worst transfer window in our history for failed bids? Witsel turned us down, koulibaby turned us down, gabbiadani took too long, lucas went to arsenal etc

i mean genuine question here, what strikers are realistically left? Considering we have gone down the list a few times now and still not got anywhere in regards to signing one.

According to Gianluca di Marzio we have withdrawn our interest in Gabbiadini

a) not surprised, we are probably only looking to get one forward in and want it to be Gabbiadini but Napoli might fail to get a replacement, pull the plug late tomorrow night and we are left with nothing.
b) or we have secretly snared someone else in the past hour and no longer want him!

Luckily mate it isn't the fans job to make a decision.

Either way, all I would say is to bare in mind that when we signed McCarthy we supposedly pulled out of the deal twice in the space of an hour before he signed for us...

Most likely scenario

Thing is mate our fans act like if it isn't in t he papers it's not happening.

I'm sure we have about two or three players potentially lined up for each position.

IF Di Marzio is correct then we may have simply moved on for the time being to put pressure on Napoli to hurry up themselves.
