Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

Apparently after the game Moyes said:

"I thought he played well today. I can't really talk about what else might happen"

I cant find the comments but if he said this, then it suggests that a deal is still on.
He did say it, new thread relating to moyes' comments regarding Kone after the game on a Sunderland forum. Big change in the stance of moyes who'd previously suggested he was going nowhere. 50/50 I guess now.

They will sell for more money, maybe around 25 million, is he worth this tho?

Seems increasingly unlikely now. Just can't see us selling a centre half this late in the window after losing Kaboul. We already need to sign a centre half in the next three days, if we sell Kone we will need to bring in two.

It's ok mate.

We have Jags, Williams, Funes Mori so we're not too bad there.

Definitely need competition up front.

Hope you have a good season!

I wasn't apologising, I didn't make the decision personally (assuming a decision has indeed been made)!

Kone has also been active on his Twitter account again over the past three days - on Saturday he posted to say that the only way to show "his love for the club and fans" would be on the pitch; today he has had a pop at a journalist who claimed to have snapped him in Liverpool. Generally adopting the tone of a man who is going to stay. Hopefully he gets his act together.
