I am seeing it differently mate, I believe we will sign players and believe we will be a force
I don't believe we will spend money just for the sake of it, as I don't think owner and manager are that way in their approach.
I think the new may take time....let's be fair waiting is something we are good at

To me, these positions that need strengthening are essential and we haven't nailed them. Not one. Bolasie and Gueye: both signings we're non-essential. Stekelenburg: we needed an upgrade on Robles not a competitor for him.

Williams is the one shining example of getting what we needed.

Have to say it's disappointing we've left it this late. In all honesty we still need a keeper, centre back, and striker quite desperately.

We also need another creative midfielder who can push Ross for his position, or someone more creative to play alongside Gueye.

That's 3/4 signings, be surprised if we get more than 2.

No neither did I. Or tomorrow.

It'll be another mad scramble on deadline day. All well and good if you have your main targets already in and you're just looking to top up and strengthen, another thing entirely when the biggest signings you've needed to make all summer (GK, ACM, second striker) are nowhere in sight.

It's lamentable. It really is. It was sold as 'the new dawn' earlier this summer this regime. Is that what anyone's seeing right now?

I'm quite depressed at the moment coz things are looking like same old Everton, hoping for something to lift me spirits next couple of days though

Yes been disappointing after all the hype and build up if nothing will be the same etc etc.
Looks exactly same as previous seasons let's see wha let happens in the next couple of days.
Hope that Walshbis looking at his old club as they look to be doing two excellent bits of business.
Not even a murmur in the last two days from us before anyone says it's a different Everton hush hush etc
There are too many people involved and the days are long gone when you got updates on ceefax, so it's impossible to keep a deal quiet until it's signed.

Can we please not use a bloody season ticket slogan as an excuse to slate the club?

Genuinely don't have a problem with the slating but it's the fact a lot of these 'tales of broken promises' are based on a bloody slogan!!!!

NOBODY has PROMISED anything.

The HYPE has been from the FANS (as it always is).

The only thing that has been said by the club is that we are working on 2-3 deals still to be completed.

There's two days left of the window.

So far today, two PL clubs have made signings - Southampton signing a 22-year-old from Lille and WBA signing Chadli.

We're in a much better position heading into the final few days of the window than we were at the start of it, and more business will be done.

teams rolling just fine, all of our additions have looked like they're adding to the squad, stop cryarsing you bunch of wet ones

koeman obviously has a plan, lets see where it goes
jesus 7 points out of 9 and footy manager types are pissing the bed cause we aren't signing names they've got in their sticker book

bad bad mings

Well Mondays over.....we've blew it.

Can't wait for the, we'll have time to bring top players in January. And when we do nothing then it'll be.....well never a good time to buy players, come Summers and we'll spend the war chest...

What a let down this summer has been. Absolutely failed.

Can't wait to hear the excuse and sugar coating off the happy clappers. Should be fun this....
You know what'll be mate: new stadium 'information' via the Echo:

"World Exclusive: Blues in talks about talks about buying some land somewhere generally in that direction toward the docks. Everything's going to be sound".

Can anyone sum up the last few/tens of pages please? Serious only unless you're gonna post boobs, post boobs and you can post as stupidly as you like.

Also, in the words of West Side Story...

TONIGHT, TONIGHT....

That's just not true. The hype has also been from Moshiri and the club in how it has dealt with the media. Remember Moshiri did say that they would do everything to keep our stars and add to them. Well setting a price and selling below that price isn't what I call doing what he can.

If Chelsea had of met Rom's valuation he probably would have gone too. Thankfully Chelsea aren't the big spenders like they used to be and no one else wanted him.

Gueye wasn't essential?? The lad is what we've been after for years. A bundle of energy in the middle. If stekeleburg cost £20m and signed from one of the big Italian teams we would be raving about him. He's won us points in every game we've played so far.

Personally didn't expect any movement today mate.

Genuinely think we may have one in tomorrow (equally wouldn't be surprised if we didn't).

Definitely two in on deadline though is my opinion (at least).
Where you not saying 3 or 4 earlier in the day? Slowly lowering those expectations.

Its Bank Holiday in the UK today, so no signings will be done, ya melts.

Mosh is on a massive all day binge in London, and the text to Jim actually meant to say 'I am completely spaced' but the autocorrect did its magic

Expect tomorrow morning to be a bit quiet while he gets the hangover sorted with a fry up, and then unlocks the war chest for a massive splurge in the afternoon.
