Apart from Di Canio, Zola, Cudidini, Pellè and perhaps Darmian (at a push), I can't think of many others who've survived let alone flourished.

I'd expect that it more down to not being in favour with José. He looked quite a solid full back last season from all accounts.

Every window since he came here their has been links to him going back.

He is a cracking player, many tgat come over are, they just dont seem to settle anywere outside of Italy really.

I don't buy into the rumours currently on the two until something more substansial comes out.

but i would imagine if both were real things, it would be Gabbiadani OR berhirimi. Not both.

Would be very happy with Brahimi and Gabbiadini.
And still expect Kone and a keeper, Hart or otherwise.
Just have to hold tight.
Don't think anything will materialise until Sunday at the earliest, or it might all be down to Tuesday and Wednesday.

If he was so good he would've been given an Italy call-up - he didn't.

Simone Zaza got a call-up over him. Pelle too, Eder (Eder for goodness sake)...some real, real dross got the nod over him which is very concerning indeed.

Eder was actually playing well when Italy called him up, he also earned his move to Inter.

We are willing to pay £30m for Brahimi but Porto want £40m, so work to be done if reports are correct, though a deal is reportedly close to being agreed according to some. Not sure on the Gabbiadini talk though. Perez and Ghezzal would have made us scary up top as an attacking force, but both turned us down to play European football. This is our biggest problem in getting the right players, so until we can offer this we will have to try and bring in some unknown gems to get us there..
