Transfer Rumour Manolo Gabbiadini

"Just the £30m" for a player who made 4 starts last year...I actually think Osman made more.

I'm not quite sure what Ron is thinking here.

He's a goalscorer though.

He scored 9 last year despite just the 4 starts, making 23 appearances from the bench (in Serie A), he started four games in Europe and 1 in the coppa.

Season before that he arrived at napoli in great form after a brilliant spell from Sept-Jan at Samp. He scored 8 goals in 8 Serie A starts.

As a player who is primarily going to be back up/impact sub, he'd be very decent.

Don't think the fee would be anywhere near £30mil either. Reports in Italy (i know, not exactly the most reliable) claim 22mil Euros

In todays market where our "A" choices wont come, iam at the point where if hes better than Kone, iam in

Sure Niasse even looked OK on his....

Having seen Gabbiadini play at least a few times for Napoli I can confirm he isn't crap.

As a back up striker / impact sub he is genuinely very good. Got some important goals for Napoli last season in those types of situations.

Also versatile (can play either as a classic 9 or more of a second-striker).

Only problem here is Italians in the Premier League don't tend to succeed.

Pelle just did okay mate, in all fairness.

Gabbiadini has a bit about him as well.

A bit of flair and an ability to pick up the right places at the right time. Plus he's got a decent burst of pace (though he's not rapid per se)

If he can get 5, contribute off the bench and just be better than Niasse then I am onboard.

The boy Ferrari was an outstanding talent, I was shocked when he just went POOF.

Unsavoury.

I think all of us agree that Roberto had a good eye for a player. Do we really need a back-up striker....might not Oumar turn out to be an unpolished gem? I'd hang off panic buying and let Niasse show us all why Bobby rated him so highly.
#trustinbobby.
