I'm clutching at straws a bit but could that be no interest now as we've been put off by the amount mentioned on the loan deal and it could possibly be renegotiated later.
Or never been any interest which would be odd as normally no smoke without fire and lots of speculation.

Koeman literally just said he isn't going to comment on players contracted to other clubs and was then asked about the Joe Hart rumours, what was he going to say, we want to sign him?

I was far from certain Hart was common here before that presser but Koeman's comments don't make me think that we're not going to for him.
