He'll sign for Liverpool next summer for £55m.

Nope, never seen him.
I wonder if that is literally the transfer plan over there.

Who was boss for southampton this year? Mane? Get an offer in, join his mates here at the club.

Bit crazy how a liverpool first 11 contains 4 former southampton players, with a further 2 left the club. And they have still not been succesful!

I would argue we would be at least as strong as any of the clubs apart from the 2 Manchester ones.

Arsenal and Chelsea look unbalanced so far.

All ifs, buts and maybes at this stage, but with a couple of additions we could be a real threat.
I think Arsenal is all smoke as of now. Granted we are only going into week 3, but pound for pound I say we match up very well with them.

You're entirely missing my point because you're attempting to tug the conversation towards Moshiri's actions or intentions - that's off topic.

Look back, I have not said he has done anything as you may suggest, nor have I implied it. Yet neither have I said he has been inactive.

I simply mentioned that perhaps the said £100m figure bounded about may have come from a reference to an overall initial investment.

He may have simply bought shares, which you're right to say isn't an investment. He may have paid off some of the debt or bought some land.

I don't actually know and to be fair neither do many people, hence why there may be the original confusion with regards to the £100m.

And that was my point - the £100 transfer figure. Not about Moshiri investing or what you want to imply yet you've decide to go on off an tangent.

But I'd like to ask, apart from what Esk has told you how do you know what Moshiri has invested or not invested into the club?

You've got a gripe with the current situation of the club and that is clear...
None of those are investments. Transferring debt from someone to himself is not paying off debt. Buying land to then build a stadium which he then leases to the club isn't investment. The club and Moshiri are separate legal entities.

My point is a simple one. He hasn't so far invested a single penny in the club so you are wrong to say he has. It has all come from Stones and TV money. The reason why it's relevant to this thread is because ultimately if that doesn't change then we can expect only one more signing assuming no-one leaves.

Can we not agree on this and stop the pointless arguing.

Mcnulty just said Clev and McCarthy could go, surely we must be getting in midfielder if this is true?

Think we would, but Koeman has today said how well the partnership between Barry and Gueye is doing.

So maybe not a 'guaranteed' starter - potentially a player who will come in and add something a bit different and more competition.

Genuinely though, whatever happens we're in for an exciting week.
