They were great keepers and that's my standard. Hart is never in Nev League. Why would City want to get rid of a 'World Class' goalie and replace him with a 'World Class' goalie? They have one job. There's a reason he's being shuffled on. And as for England no 1.... that's not really too hard at the moment is it?

Is he the £110k a week keeper that we need? No. Koeman won't be fooled.

They have told us why! they want a keeper who is better with the ball at his feet. All of the info is out there thanks to the world wide web :)

Is that Blue Moon Forum speculation or fact?

*Just think there is more to it other than Joe's capabilities could be wrong*

*Hart is a good goalie but that's about it,The lack of interest says it all really..*

*Although some om here think Joe's an average keeper, he isn't, he's a very good keeper..The issue isn't his keeping ability it's his ability to play as a sweeper keeper. I'm actually pretty sure he could do this given time. But Pep and Joe haven't got time. Pep can't wait 6 months - we will loose too many points against good sides. Joe can't be out of the first team or his England place is under threat.*

*We have/had a top keeper already too but it didn't stop Pep going for Bravo.*

*I do find it rather telling that not one big team has come in for Hart since it was made clear Joe can leave. Barca, for example, would rather have Ajax's keeper than Joe. If Neuer was suddenly to become available, would there be a similar lack of interest? I'd suspect not.*

*It does fit a Pep pattern of making very decisive decisions on playing staff early on his tenure at a club. Some of it will undoubtedly simply send a signal about who is in charge. It is no coincidence that the players he sells are often big characters. I will be surprised if Joe is leaving purely in ability terms. Pep will have had the inside track for a good while.*

@Thomasc

and..

*It really is as simple as that. Pep doesn't fancy him. Letting Hart play a few games making him think he's number one when he's bringing in someone else in would be shitty.

I am a bit gutted - think Joe is a very good keeper and could get better with good coaching...with the added bonus of being a having a good bond with the fans now. But Pep thinks otherwise.*

*Pep was in the stands when Hart had that astonishing game at Barca in 2015. So he knows how good Hart can be. But he was also on the sidelines when Hart had a shocker against Bayern when we lost 1-3. I think Pep wants a GK to be consistent, make the saves he's meant to. I don't think he's that bothered about the keeper being able to make a string of superlative saves to keep us in the game, because I don't believe he expects it will be necessary too often in future to do that.

Pep's made references in a couple of press conferences to having had a chat with Joe when they were in China, explaining what he expected from him, how he could get better. At the end of those comments there should have been a final sentence indicating that they had reached an understanding. There wasn't.*

Guardiola said he knew Hart's "value" and "talent", but that he had come to City to "play the way I like".

"The first thing I am looking for from the goalkeeper is to save," said the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach.

"After that he has to be able to play with the ball. He has to be help us to create a good build-up. That is why I am here."

The 45-year-old added: "We are not an academy with time. Here we have time - but not too much.

"The big teams don't give me time to create something. People want results immediately."

Joe hart impressed me a lot when he was at Birmingham - at City the billionaire team hard to judge as he has had little to do most games, even when citys defence was poor they attack that much its a form of good defence he has also been dropped before imo rather our new dof went out there looking for a new Southall Hart has a big ego , and if he comes in he will upset the dressing room his pay is ridiculous as I stated before if we sign him as icing on the cake at a reasonable price without detriment to signing players we need outfield and city want to offload him reasonably thats ok !

Think about it we played it hard for top money for Stones off City - my feeling our they will do their very best to get that money back off us for Hart - they will probably offload him to some other team cheaper just to spite us!

And we don't need that? I do see your point, but I still don't think he's what we actually need.

No worries, we have a slightly different opinion that's all.

he's still young for a keeper, lots of experience at international and European level...not sure what else we want really.

Ronnie's on it, we will of course back whatever decision he makes.

Its why the money they've spent on their academy is just a complete waste of time.
