I dont think its a great achievement being better than the recent keeping options at a club thats been pretty skint for many years. I certainly wouldnt put "be better than Howard" as a benchmark for the no1 spot at an ambitious and newly flush club. id like us to go for a keeper who has the possibilty, just the possibility mind, of arriving somewhere near the level of De Gea, Cech, Neuer, Stegen, Courtuois or Buffon to name a few. Hart is decent but I haven't seen much in what I have seen to suggest his actual talent being close to his actual reputation in british football. For me we would be signing a big name, not a great player or potentially great player. I reckon a step back down the ladder experience wise and you'd get a greener keeper who is as good or not too far off Hart but has the potential for big improvement that I dont see in Hart. Somebody like I say to be our long term stopper.

Whilst looking for this long term investment I think we could be reasonably well served by Stek right now.

Not that I think Hart is coming. And just my opinión, he could always sign and prove me wronger than wrong.

Well the idea that we were prepared to blow people away with wage offers this summer is turning out to be nonsense.
As is the story about having to sell Stones so we could massively increase the wage bill.

If you want top players, then you have to pay the going rate.

Considering at the outset people were quoting 20mill.to buy outright paying nearly half that for a loan ,at the end of which he may not stay , seems questionable to say the least . There are other goalies after all.

Ben Foster is a good reliable keeper....No problem paying Hart £135k a week put only as a permanent signing,could cause problems a loan player on that wage.
