New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I seem to remember not many people liking this at the time but I love this one that Portsmouth were looking to build before they imploded...

I think almost any stadium design would look good if you photograph it from the air, a long way away, at night and with the flood lights on.

I like the scale and bulk of the Lucas Oil Stadium but that's about it. It just doesn't do it for me as a football stadium. I'd much prefer something futuristic and modern on the banks of the Mersey.

That's not to be confused with "being spoilt" or "turning the Lucas Oil Stadium down" as some are saying. It's just my personal preference and at the end of the day we will get what we're given.

Let's be honest, who would have thought this would have been even the slimmest of possibilities a year or so ago. It's not built yet but it certainly looks like it going to happen.

We'll be lucky to get a hollowed-out Sainsbury's depot, if we're being honest.

This fresh talk about us buying the land, I still wonder if that is why we havent done as much as we thought would might in the window, because we have used a wedge of cash for that land on the docks, be the best buy we will make slla summer if so.

That Lucas Oil stadium looks very similar to some of the concept designs floating about when Chelsea were trying to buy Battersea Power Station and convert it into a new Stadium.

That would have been my expectation, certainly pre-Moshiri. All the ITK talk is of something with wow factor which is getting everyones hopes up, probably to be shattered when we move in to our new flat-pack cow shed at Stonebridge Cross
