I just reckon he think's he's better than he actually is, and he think's he deserves to be at one of the big clubs.

The French have some fantastic players in their midfield a wealth of talent. So many good if not great options.

The dutch at the time when he played had a weak defense and i believe they had key injuries going into that tournament. Not exactly the same issue as the french either where they could pick several guys.

But its really like comparing apples and oranges....

As do I so I'm giving them the benefit of doubt with Bolasie but £35m on Sissoko would be going too far.

Wasnt the cup the same year Heitinga won our player of the season? I feel like most people forget how good Heitinga was for us over that season and a half. He was mostly horrid when Moyes played him out of position in the midfield.

As is comparing international performances in European tournaments to EPL bread and butter games... he is decent enough, but for the money we are throwing around we should be getting players of a better quality regardless of the state of the current market.

A 26 year old player that didn't even stand out in a terrible Newcastle squad.. 30m should at least get you their player of the year:

Whatever about Sissoko...and I really am looking to be convinced...Ross is NOT a b2b player. In fact RK gave him a rocket before the Spurs game but, like the rest of the team he slowed in the last 20.

Oh i don't disagree with this I was just making the point that comparisons of certain positions in certain international teams are different.
