Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

I've picked that up and am surprised to be honest. Looking from the outside at where EFC were when Moyes arrived, and where you were when he left, I would have thought he'd be universally adored around these parts.

When you manage a club with the 7th highest wage bill in the league. Then you would expect to finished 7th. That's what Moyes did at Everton. He did not over achieve. He stabilized the club.

I wish it was that simple, the we just culd increase our wages and end up in first?

Towards the beginning he took awful teams to incredible heights. That team he took to 4th place was terrible! We had Marcus Bent up front ffs! The first six or seven years he overachieved but then we just stagnated.

Anyone know if Shez on TEF has form? He's said that Kone will sign
Don't need form mate. It's obvious he is signing for us.

Jesus they are offering him a contract at the end of the window! Any club who genuinely isn't cashing in on their player offer their player a contract now ala siggurdson and the Stoke lad. Sunderland offering the contract after August means our bid will be successful and moyes gets a chunk of money to invest elsewhere.

Just on the Moyes conversation. Moyes was manager for 11 years here, but over that time he could easily have been sacked about 3 times. Other clubs with more trigger happy chairmen would have potted him. He was given time and usually turned a poor start to a season around after Christmas, which became a bit of a tradition in the end. I can see him doing okay at Sunderland but I think the chairman might need to be a bit patient and not sack if they go on a bad run.

Anyway, Kone, what's the latest?

How did you get to a position to be the 7th highest wage spenders in the League? Magic?
