Nah, I know what you mean, but it's not really the whole forum. There was a poll asking what people thought our net spend was going to be, and less than 10% thought it was going to be > 100 million

The most popular answer was 25 to 50 million.

So the lurkers are pretty realistic but the more vocal posters are with the fairies.

Some things never change.

I voted 25 to 50, Stones was always gonna leave and I dont think we have enough pull to spend more than 100m this window, time will tell like.

Probably true.

If we'd finished top eight for the last three seasons the gap to the CL places wouldn't look anywhere near as wide. But Bobby scuppered that, so it's likely to be next Summer before many in the game start to take us seriously.

I firmly believe we had a plan, sign "top" tier players and kick on from there, we then realised that wasnt going to work, so plan b is sign a load of players in their prime and try and win a shiny or get Europa, even Europa would help us attract a higher tier of player, its just a shame that we will need to sell Lukaku next year to fund the STCC wage increase.
