Can I just remind people that we are now two weeks in since we were supposed to be very busy with transfers and we have only managed to sign Willams.

I'm sorry that is garbage.

It's quite clear that Kenwright is involved with these transfers, it smacks of his incompetence.

PS, I like Kenwright, I just don't think he has what it needs to be involved in the business side of football. He should be retired to a figurehead role like Bobby charlton at man Utd.

Change ya sheets lad.

I know absolutely nothing about him - he doesn't seem to have played many games though

Years Team Apps (Gls)
2008–2011
Étoile du Sahel 33 (5)
2010Werder Bremen (loan) 6 (0)
2011–2014 Toulouse 77 (3)
2014Monaco (loan) 6 (0)
2014–2015 Monaco 18 (0)
2015– Valencia 11 (0

Seems very few league games for a 27 year old.

Here's 27 year old Snivelley for example

Years Team Apps (Gls)

Manchester United 55 (3)
2009Leicester City (loan) 15 (2)
2009–2010Watford (loan) 33 (11)
2010–2011Wigan Athletic (loan) 25 (4)
2014–2015Aston Villa (loan) 31 (3)
2015– Everton 22 (2

God I hate him.

I'm not sure the English wiki is accurate, the French version shows more games played.

Ffs, this transfer window can't end soon enough.

there seems little point in getting angry about something that may not even be true...

BullyB, I'm a fan of your work but you're forgetting the Gueye guy and Stekey Bez

No 'promises' have been made, or broken, yet people keep saying 'we were promised Koulibaly, we were promised Mata...' etc etc. It's utter nonsense.
The problem is that trusted sources, who merely suggested that deals were possible or were in fact close to completion, has been take as gospel.

Add to that media speculation and the names such as Mata, Witsel and Carvalho have became expectations rather than simply being possibilities.

Hence the incorrect view that their trust have been broken or the club has somehow fallen back on its supposed promises, which were never there.

Expectations, either intentionally or unintentionally, have been raised and now people are unfortunately falling over themselves in despair.

Is the club helping fuel such expectations like @davek may suggest? Unintentionally yes, but most the blame lays within the fans themselves.
