they rejected our 18 mil bid so why haven't they given him one? they only paid 6 mil for him in january. A few good performances to keep them up surely can't justify a 12 mil hike in price never mind whatever money they are hoping to get.

It was a clause in his deal when he signed mate that they would offer him a new long term contract if they stayed up. They haven't followed through on their word.

Also, he's a damn good player based on his performances for them, so for all I care he can have the combined obnoxiousness of Liam Gallagher and Piers Morgan (though by all accounts he's a firm fan favourite there).
