We need 5 as a MIN.

GK, 2xCMs, LW, ST

Not sure if you watched the same games as me last season, but our midfield is seriously lacking any offensive quality.

I don't think we need two Central Midfielders as it stands given we've just signed one. I do think we need another midfielder in (whether that's Mata or more of a box to box player), and then we'll see what else happens depending on the futures of McCarthy/Cleverley etc.

If you count Koné and Bolasie as two of the incomings (centre back and left-back cover) then I'd say a minimum of another two are required.

So that makes a minimum of four for me. An additional striker is certainly necessary and we still need someone in the middle with creativity.

Yet, I'd still certainly like to see a new keeper and another option behind the strikers so I understand why people are saying five or six.

Only if he intends on going with 3 at the back and loaning out all the young lads.

galloway looks gone to Newcastle on loan

Browning still out i think, Jagielka likely to miss a shed load of games through knocks, Leaves us with just Williams - Mori and Holgate (who we have no idea how he will handle competitive games at this level yet), still think we need one in mate (especially as Komean will almost certainly want the option of three at the back available to him)

Especially as Holgate looks like he will end up backing up Coleman - whose already picked a knock up i just saw ffs

It's looking like this window is less the exciting one that we were led to belive and more just trying to build a squad.

Now building a squad is fine by me. Koeman needs to have his sort of squad so I'm happy to have these additions come in.

My concern right now is we have sold stones and we aren't backing thst decision up. If we sold stones and signed one or two bigger players to have any sort of ambition then great, but right now there doesn't seem to be any ambition which makes it frustrating.

Whichever way you look at it, we aimed to sign players to better ourselves and instead we are shopping at Fulham, Sunderland, Aston villa, Swansea. Poor places and even if we are lifting their best players it still screams of a lack of ambition from the club. These teams are worse than us, there is a reason why we are getting them fairly easily.

We laugh at Liverpool buying players from poor places and crying ambition at the same time. Unless the club have some surprises left, we are actually doing worse than they are in that department. I fear that this sort of approach is going to be detrimental to the season and just leave us behind teams we were miles ahead of only a few years ago.

Given how the fanbase has reacted to the club not actually saying anything so far, d'you think it would be smart for RK to come out and say 'yeh lads, we're definitely signing six boss players' only for it not to happen?

People need to calm down. The squad is good enough to start the season, but still needs work. If that work isn't done by Sept 1st then we should be worried.

Beg to differ mate

We could very well be starting with a right winger in Deulofeu playing up front alone, a 19yo cb who has never played in the league before starting at rb, one of our many right wingers shoe horned onto the left wing spot as we still haven't got a natural left winger and possibly playing a not fully fit Jagielka alongside Mori at cb, on top of continuing to play two defensive midfielders again at home with Barkley isolated once again.

All very real possibilites, do you really think that is good enough to start the season mate?
