Does anyone else keep getting asked to download something to do with 'taxes' when you log onto the main forum page?

Dunno.
It just downloads something on its own!

Its happned three times, each time when I go onto the forum main page with all the threads..

Stopped now like.

Nope.

However, I did accidently click on an advert the other day and immediately got popups on my android device saying it was 'damaged etc' needed scanning

which is a scam - social engineering to download and install malware.

Closed.

If you get unexpected popups - they may be google advert related on the forum - embedded adverts.

close your browser and log back in. If necessary clear your cookies and cache.

They are not @GrandOldTeam related. However, report them I would say - dodgy adverts that GOT can have excluded from the site I think?

Nothing here either. Do a full virus and malware scan, sounds dodgy whatever it is.

Don't open the files. Just delete them.

Also make sure your anti-virus and security is up to date and active (!)
