He seems to have brilliant recuperation. Most injuries are gone in a week if not 2.

I'll be honest I just don't like the idea of replacing one of the best young talents in football with someone who plays for a team that nearly get relegated every season.

He only signed for Sunderland in January. Sunderland avoided relegation. Clearly his arrival coincided with them improving. So your point is not really valid. From what i've seen of him hes a good defender, and he knows where the goal is (against us anyway)

You mean one who came in half way through last season and helped them comfortably avoid the drop?

I wish people would stop being negative for negatives sake.

My mistake, this guy is obviously a worthy successor to Stones

My mistake, he's obviously vastly superior to Stones

I look forward to pushing for Champions League with this guy in our ranks

The way i've seen it (well I hope i'm reading it right) he'll come in with vast premier league experience, which for most part, has been in one of the tightest defences in the league for the last 4-5 years. He'll be able to nurture Funes Mori (and with no disrespect to Stones or Jagielka) and help him and Holgate grow in the team. Importantly, he's a leader, he'll ensure we're organised, and we missed that so much over the last few seasons unfortunately. £12m may be a big sum, but the way the league is going £12m is more like £5m from 5 years ago. Shrewd business for me.
hope your right!
