....thought he stepped up last season to be fair but it will be interesting to see if this manager thinks he's the real deal.

Thought there were games where he looked absolutely boss last season (the player we all know he is) but he's still too inconsistent for me. I know some will say he's still only 22 etc, but IMO a player of his talent and quality should be doing a lot more in games. Hopefully we'll see a more confident, fitter Ross under Koeman, than the Ross under Martinez, especially from the second half of last season.

As you say, it will be interesting to see if Koeman thinks he's the real deal, because under Martinez, Ross had a free pass from any criticism, don't think he'll get that from Koeman.

Don't think Ron will indulge him like Roberto did which will be a good thing. Needs to get some fire in his belly, bit of a [Poor language removed] right now

This.

Under Martinez, he has a poor performance, trotting around the pitch, missing penalties etc, then after the game from the manager: "Phenominal performance, swagger, arrogance, England's diamond, etc"

Don't think Koeman will offer him such BS, which is absolutely right too.

The best game I can think of off my head was against Newcastle. He made Shelvey look like a kid going up against a man, absolutely destroyed him that day.

True.

But he'll know how good he is after seeing him boss his Southampton side away last season.
