Yeah but that's just women drivers. Could easily have been midday ..........

Had a similar experience in Lagos about 15 years ago, when an armed traffic patrolman stepped out in front of the car I was in and the driver nearly flattened him. Cost us $20 to stop him arresting the driver.

Indeed mate. Missus actually learned how to drive in Malawi. That has caused some other memorable moments when back in Europe (if Finland ever has been considered to be part of Europe anyways...)

Part of me really pities the man.

He might eventually come good. I doubt it, but you never know. Either way, he was given this massive price tag by a manager clearly at the end of his tether here, and then just given no chance to live up to the expectation. So ultimately, he'll end up being almost the personification of the whole Martinez era without actually doing anything and he'll be seen in a poor light because of it.
