Williams would be an ok replacement for Stones. Nothing to get excited about though.

If we get 50 for Stones and Spend 10 on Williams and 40 on another top CB for the future I would be happy.

It might be that he had ideas of 2 or 3 big ish signings.. has worked with the squad and realises he now needs 7 low/middish signings. Thats going to drastically reshape his plans

I think most recognize he's a good player. His age is the main sticking point i suppose

Williams would be good to play along Stones, never gonna happen though. Him and Jags should be able to help the youngsters a lot though.

If he is a replacement for Stones, I will be very disappointed. If there is another top class defender coming in and Williams gives us options/cover, I will be happy
