We have McCarthy Barry Gibson besic Barkley cleverly Davies and arguably tarashaj fighting for the same spot and yet we're trying to sign witsel and Mata, not that I disagree with it but it's certainly a strange way to balance the squad isn't it.

Barry - who knows
Gibson - Crock
Besic - Raw but something there
Barkley - Attacking mid
Cleverley - Likely leaves this window
Davies - Sound

There's a need for quality centre mids here.
