Absolutely. It'll be extra funny when we sign someone that nobody has heard of without breaking the bank to see all the fume that we haven't spent 40 million on someone random and then they turn out to be class.
That is the point though mate, we are meant to spending millions on BIG names not chancing it with potentials..........that is what we have been doing badly for 25 years.

Over the last 15 seasons, Leicester are actually one of the most successful clubs, one league, 2 league cups since 97. 3 more honours than us (5 if you include promotions form lower divisions). No one really cares about them still.

I was thinking the other day, take a look at AC Milan - one cup I think in 6 years ,no real house hold names in their team compared to 5 let alone 10 years ago. Juve look like dominating the league for some time, so they could easily go ten years without a title, and still everyone would know and respect them. If I wanted to play in Italy i'dgo to AC Milan because of their history, etc. Same to a degree with Ajax. When were they last a force in Europe? still they are relevant because of what they did in the 90s.

Our name does have pull in Europe still and it does matter. Go to Greece, spain, etc and say you support everton to the locals and they will be able to have a decent conversation with you about us. i guess being half of the most watched derby in the world helps keep our profile higher than it would otherwise be. Time to start writing a better current history that leaves people in no doubt why "you'd want to come to everton"

Problem is for teams like you and Villa, every year that ticks by without a significant trophy people do start to forget. Not saying we're held in any higher regard, but it's what happens. From the outside in, Everton do look like they have been left behind when all the other big boys have moved on. With new / expanded stadiums, rich investors etc. Perhaps now if your time again.

I think people do care about us, I've travelled a bit this year and the reception has been incredible from people. Randomers huggy you and wanting their picture with you because you support Leicester... been a weird old year. That will die off and stop, people will forget unless we do something else.

The likes of Milan aren't what they were, but they have still had champs league football, league and cup wins relatively recently. So it's still in peoples minds.

Week after you won the league i saw a bloke wearing a tshirt with your badge on it etc mate, honestly i have NEVER seen any club besides for Chelsea and United worn by anyone until that point here (outside of Russian clubs) so goes to show you the effect one season can have

It's been huge, couldn't get a shirt for love nor money sold out around the world. Vardy shirts outselling Ibrahimovic apparently at the Euros. Seen fake shirts for sale next to Ronaldo and Messi in all sorts of places. Social media followers up by about 5m people in a year.

Incredible reaction, would be fantastic to to seize upon it by doing well for a couple years as well. Call me greedy, and I know this sounds incredibly shitty considering what you've been through.... but I'm desperate to see this club win the FA Cup (isn't every one).

Purely on the basis of me seeing us win League One, The Championship, The Premiership and the League Cup. To have seen us round off that set would be truly amazing, I really hope the club focus on it and don't put out weak teams like we have previous years.

I'm old enough to have watched us win pretty much everything in the 80s mate so fully understand what your saying :)

Funny thing is you'll get written off again this year which will help ranierri motivate them,

Yeah, already heard all the "Leicester will get relegated guff on talksport", laughable really.

Aye from the same blerts that reckoned you'd fall away and be involved in a relegation battle at Christmas time, only to change there tune about 6 games to go and start beating on about how great it would be should you win it - whilst still predicting Spurs or Arsenal to win it

From the outside, even losing Kante and say Mahrez, and with you bringing in a few decent players, you'd finish at worst towards the bottom of the top half and thats only due to the strain of CL games etc
