Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Mike Ashley? Such was his level of due diligence in buying Newcastle United in 2007 that he was not even aware that the Northern Rock sponsorship monies had all been received upfront, nor was he aware of the outstanding transfer balances on players acquired under the previous regime.

He bought the club on a whim, it represents less than 5% of his estimated net worth, and he's employed terrible business people to run it - it's not a comparable situation in my opinion.

In hindsight, we know that now about Ashley. At the time the geordies were well excited.

With Moshiri, time will tell.

Meanwhile, blues wait for action.

Koeman back from Austria. Euro players returning from holidays, and all teams in pre season with managers evaluating squads and making their own moves. This might sound optimistic but I'd be very surprised if no progress is made on our initial tranche of targets this week. Most players and clubs should be in a position to say yay or nay now. Not saying fully completed deals (the full photo with shirt) but I reckoned we may get one or two bids 'officially' accepted this week.

Fair point and is he as good as Der Stegen? I find it interesting nobody has taken a punt on him.

Ter Stegen is a bit of an anomaly now isnt he with just playing cup games. He said if he doesnt get more games hes off but bravo is still there.

i think that one will go....leno better than both i think...
