Lol,when I asked people to name three directors of football not one person mentioned Steve Walsh.

Now that we've been linked he is the most influential person in the premier league.

But has Walsh got the job title DoF at Leicester? Isn't he called Chief Scout there?

In my mind there should be a lot more to the DoF post than just scouting players.

Koemans words when he started....

“I am comfortable in different situation and different directions,” Koeman told the ECHO , when asked if he would be happy to work with a sporting director at Everton.

“I think it is always important for the club, in the long-term story, to have a football man in the club.

“You can call it ‘head of scouting’, you can call it ‘director of football’ because that is important for the club in the long-term and that is no problem for me.”

Maybe that is how the position has been placed in the club - more of a head of scouting then a director of football? Seems to fit well with the Monchi link
