Everton Transfer Thread 2016

It's just bewildering how you allow yourselves to be led along so easily.

How come not one journo, Sky, BBC etc are reporting that we are in talks with Mata?

It's a load of hogwash. And it's getting farcical now.

Esk was 10/10 sure that we would land a signing today. What if that doesn't happen? Do we just accept that "Oh some things change, never mind Esk".

Then what happens if Esk promises another signing on Monday which doesn't happen? When are we allowed to start questioning his claims without getting abuse for it?
Did any of those highly respected news agencies call Moshiri?

No email, IP match etc etc.

So, as I've said recently - leave the moderating to the moderators;

There has been a tendency recently for any new member who is active with posting to be a "multi". It isn't helpful and 9/10 it is is incorrect.

Apologies boss, no harm meant, and I wouldn't want to put genuine new posters off joining and posting.

Anyway, hopefully today we'll sign a player or two and chill everyone out at last.

I think your over estimating how arsed we are here mate.

We don't expect anything.

We trust it will be sound though.

The difference between the esk and the 15k-ers is that he has a reputation here. The esk is a moderator, who has spent plenty of time on this forum in the past. Therefore, in my mind, its clear he isn't on one of those weird power trips where he wants everyone to think he is boss (Indykaila)

Having said that, I recognise football is a fickle business, and his sources may be either incorrect or the situation may change. So whilst I think Mata may well be coming, I'm not going out and buying a shirt with his name on the back.

Is this view so hard to understand?

Here's a thought - go on your own teams forums and stop being an absolute cock on here.

I'm fully au fait with PR & Marketing mush, but thanks for the pointer.

Let's strip it back eh...you're suggesting somehow that the club are accountable for making false promises RE marquee signings thus generating an increase in season ticket sales, yes?

Sound.

Again, if you're purchasing a 'thing' on the basis that something 'might' happen...then, well, the only person accountable for that is you.

Football clubs move forward because of the BIIIIGGGGGGGG players they sign? Yep.

Leicester.

:bye:

Good post.
Big signings are not always going to solve everything. Look at Veron, Shevchenko etc. Give me a few Coleman type players over a big signing and I'll be happy. And Mata is not signing.

This is a purely hypothetical rant though, why are you even saying all this? Sounds like you want him to be wrong so that you can give him abuse and say I told you so.

He's not got anything wrong yet, and if we sign a player today he'll of got everything spot on, and hopefully you'll simmer right down.
Esk hasn't got anything right apart from Koeman who everyone knew was happening anyway because every paper in the land was reporting it.

You're all hanging onto his Mata and Witsel claims like giddy children.

When Mata doesn't happen and IF Witsel doesn't happen, there's got to be questions asked surely?

We're rapidly approaching the point where people will be in their right to be very frustrated at Everton's failure once again to get business done early. It's a shame that despite the new investment, we seem to still have the same bunch of useless ditherers in charge of getting things done.

...no, TUBES, no...

It's professionally quiet. That's what it is.

Keep repeating that & all will be groovy.

;)

You're clearly on the wind up as you're completely ignoring the whole 'hypopthetical rant' thing which you seem hellbent on persuing,
so I'll just pop you on ignore. Unfortunately many will still quote you I'm sure.
