Why was he so unbelievably crap for most of last season then? You will have to forgive me if I don't think messing about with the ball and trying to do Cruyff turns in your six yard box whilst being incapable of winning a header makes you a great defender. He's that good that he was kept out of the England side by Cahill and Smalling.

Was it 50% of the season or most of the season? And again you're neglecting the other 2 seasons. Like I said, black and white.

Putting his holidays ahead of Everton the Dutch slob.

Ahhh, right you are.

Understand that, I'm just saying Evertonians happy to move him on because he's overrated, poor, greedy etc etc are (something I can't post in Everton forum).

If people can't see how good he is/will be then there's not much you can do or say mate. He'll be awesome at City.

I think where I am is if he has put a request to leave in that's a bit crap. Especially as they were probably going to bid for him anyway. No need really. If indeed it's even true. I mean is it likely he thought, 'I know, I'll call the new boss today and tell him I'm going to City'?

But he will be nigh on impossible to replace. Even more so when you consider we can't complete a deal for anyone.

Then add the fact that if we do splash the cash after he goes it will look like we have had to sell to buy. Again!

I think I successfully covered both sides and the middle of the fence in one post there.

Yeah but don't make him out to be a Judas and overrated on the way out.
That's fair enough . I'm not personally calling him anything. Bought for £3m sold for £50m minus Barnsley's cut . Can't argue with that . The last time I was gutted a player left was Rooney , and that wasn't as bad to me as Ferguson to Newcastle .

Said it on Twitter and I'll say it here. Can't let this crybaby and his agent dictate the destination. Highest bid wins. Whether it's City, Barca or fn Shanghai.
