From what I have heard that both Witsel and Mata are still on, Koulibaly though I have also heard that if he is a main target that may effect the Witsel transfer, as in if you want A you must back out and let us get B?

This came from a few people so can't all be pulling plonkers and saying the same thing. Plus the Chelsea fans are fuming more than we would if they get gazumpted.

@The Esk can we reasonably deduce, we're trying to get mata, Witsel, keeper and striker in at the moment. Further transfers if any, late in window after he's fully assessed squad and shipped out players he doesn't fancy. Obviously stones and lukaku can change all of the above.

I think it's more a question of we will pay more not doing a trade for Witsel that interests Napoli but I've seen those theories.

Peak activity currently, we are in active discussions for 8 players to my knowledge although not all of those can be realistically expected to close and a couple are for the same position.

That would be about right as we probably have 2 keepers we are going for and will only sign 1 and I would imagine we have a couple of other central midfielders as well as Witsel in the pipeline. Could see us signing 5 players maybe 6 depending on who goes and we will probably get a couple at the end of August once Koeman has looked properly at what he has available.
