no saha!!!!!

so no saha!

David Moyes makes one change to the side that faced Sunderland on Boxing Day for today’s clash with Burnley.

Frenchman Louis Saha is not named in the squad to face Owen Coyles’s side and is replaced by Yakubu up front.

The striker, who came on as a substitute in the draw with the Black Cats, is likely to be supported by captain Tim Cahill from an attacking midfield position.

John Heitinga and Lucas Neill will continue to operate in central defence, supported on the flanks by Leighton Baines and Tony Hibbert.

Joining Cahill in midfield is Saturday’s goal scorer Marouane Fellaini alongside the creative services of Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.

Club captain Phil Neville is named on the bench for the second time in as many days, as he continues his return from the knee injury which has ruled him out since September. He is joined on the bench by Carlo Nash, Seamus Coleman, Shane Duffy, Jose Baxter and Kieran Agard.

my god I have just been reading the pre match on the official site, it makes glum reading.

if we draw, it will equal a club record of 5 successive league draws and if we fail to win to will equal a club record of 9 successive home games without a win :(

The only highlight being that we have won one more home game than by this time last season

We better win though, because January fixtures look awful, with Arsenal and Man City next

If we get infront early we could run out easy winners. But that's just not us this season so our centre back pairing will cough up a goal and Burnley will sit back while we throw the kitchen sink at them.

They will be delighted to get a draw out of this one so I doubt we'll see much adventure from the Clarets. Our final ball must be better, we have good technical players available but they couldn't sling in one decent cross between them against Sunderland.

Am I right in thinking Steven Pienaar has created the most goal scoring opportunities in the league without any of them being scored?

I'm sure I read that somewhere. It's like 27.

Well done moyes for playing hibbert. Well done! He must be the best right back in the league eh?
Must be!

I agree, Hibbo is such a [Poor language removed] player he only assisted us in our only goal v sunderland. Really, he should have assisted with 3 and scored himself. Coleman is the future, Hibbo is for now. Patience, I'm sure Moyes knows what he's doing.

I fully expect Hibbert to but in a barnstorming attacking performance, climaxing with him scoring a 30 yard wondergoal.

You really think so? I think he's either stubborn or clueless.

He can't even cross a ball and you are expecting him to score a wondergoal when we least expected?

Now, look who's dreaming here?

I am not saying he would never score for us, but it's no way it's going to be a wondergoal.

I think we need Hibbert out with a Hamstring for few weeks, so Coleman would be given the chance to play a couple of games in a role!

Oh, wait Neville is available watch Moyes choice him instead of Coleman!

It was slightly tongue in cheek.

Although, to be fair, he's quite a good crosser, he just doesn't have any consistency.
