Surely not. Unless you see him daily and know the ins and outs of his injuries then there's no way. I'm guessing someone believes he's now over the worst.

Surely koeman wouldn't know enough or seen enough of him.

It's very weird but I hope my fears get shot down.
 
Messing aside I don't think it's a bad signing he is good when he's on the pitch and if he doesn't get on its not like we are going to go into liquidation over it is it. I think it will fire him up also. Koemans first act, confidence boost definitely.
 
Basically a message to everyone else in the squad "It doesn't matter if you're only fit for one month of every four, or that you bring bad publicity to the club for criminally bad decisions off the pitch, as long as you play a couple of decent forward passes we'll extend your contract"
