Nice work.

The point was, nothing you stated remotely constituted evidence.

I'd obviously love Usmanov to come in board. Maybe he will. But there's no evidence around pointing to that being his intention. Just optimistic conjecture unfortunately.

So your suggesting hes stuck with those shares until the day he dies?

That doesnt really make any sense, lets assume he wants out, he has shares to sell, you say there isnt a market for shares, yet Kroenke wants every share that comes on the market, so if Kroenke doesnt want them, why doesnt Jimmy Rockerfella want to buy them? Or Mrs Johnson?

Kroenke wants every share that is not R&W's as he wants as small a shareholder base as possible. Ideally he'd like two shareholders, him and R&W - no-one else.

He'll buy any Arsenal shares offered by R&W (not that they would do so) until he gets to 75.1% and then stop, not because he needs them but just to stop others from buying them.

This is a case book example of a dead lock - it will only be resolved when Kroenke and Usmanov agree to agree. That's not happening soon IMO

or until Usmanov takes a small hit on his pride, sells Kroenke the shares and builds the Everton globetrotters.

Are Arsenal shares a decent thing to sit on? I.e. would Usmanov ever find a buyer who is happy to have no boardroom influence and just have the shares in their portfolio?

I doubt that completely mate, others think otherwise.

Fair dos. Only situation I can see that would resolve it all.

Why do you doubt? Are there just loads of things that make much more sense to chuck a few hundred million at in terms of a straight financial investment?

So basically Usmanov and Kroenke are battling to see who outlives the other and gains full control of Arsenal? How dark.

Regardless of the quality of the underlying business, who wants to buy 30% of an illiquid stock (in trading terms) that offers no board position or influence with the dominant majority shareholder whilst releasing the seller to create a major competitor elsewhere?
