I've seen Mick all over the country this season, but have never seen him so emotional as he was on the microphone today.

Well in Speedo. Top, top bloke.
What a character and as you say a top bloke. Feel previlaged that he is not only an Everton fan, but also the money he has raised for a just cause.

An absolute diamond of a bloke, never refuses a photo with anyone and absolutely right that he is the Fan of the Year.

I have just nominated him on http://www.prideofbritain.com/nominate
I wrote the following in the nomination...
Speedo Mick has been raising funds for the Woodlands hospice throughout the football season. He has attended all of Everton's matches, home and away, wearing only a pair of Speedo swimming trunks and a swimming cap. In addition, he walked from his base in London to Bournemouth for an FA cup game, and from Liverpool to Wembley for the Everton semi final.
His unique garb comes from the fact that his initial fundraiser was swimming the channel, which he accomplished.
He has now raised just short of £50000 and is an undoubted inspiration. He received the Everton fan of the year on the pitch before the final home game of the season.
Me, and many others, have huge admiration for this remarkable man. I witnessed a queue of people at Wembley patiently waiting to put money in his collection. No request for a photograph is ever refused, and he is always cheerful and approachable.
It is also noteworthy that in the often tribal nature of football support, he has won over many of the opposition fans, with many donations coming from them.
He would be a worthy recipient of this reward, and I hope that this nomination is successful
