To be honest, so was I! Been working out if you could make the spring thing less, er, springy, then realised that was a lot of hassle. Even for perfect cheese on toast.

Also you'll need a new toaster everytime you do it...the mesh grill that closes on your bread when you push the lever down will have a nice coating of precious cheese....and for that reason, I'm out.

Mine doesnt actually touch the bread. But the creation of flying cheese on toast has merits.

You could have a practice run with plain toast to see how far it flys mark the spot and put a plate there to catch it on the real run
