Sorry I was meaning, when any manager is sacked are they entitled to a full pay out of remainder of contract or does a club have a case to reduce payment due to poor performance as an example?

No sadly mate.

Chelsea paid Jose full pay for the last 6months or so, I mean I say full pay, just a basic wage, no performance bonuses or anything like that, not sure how he survived!

This post fascinates me . Most businessmen don't waste their money they look for an opportunity at every tip and turn. I tend to think that the majority of those very wealthy owners areultimatley expecting to turn a profit

Some as we know are already taking tens of millions out and others are seeing their outlay grow that may well be by design , luck or possibly it could be the Midas touch but business is business and with the new monies coming in from the TV deal I personally think we will see significant sums flowing out of football into owners pockets.

I personally think that there is going to be a problem I trying to spend massive in the transfer market for players with a say £15 price tag will expect far more by way of remmuneration than players purchased in the market where Everton have historically recruited from.

The PLs version of FFP and Evertons relatively small historical wage bill is an issue

The rules are that unless wage growth is matched by increases from revenue generation from non media income streams, then the wage bill can only increase by £19 million over the 2012/13 sum or clubs can opt to use last years figures plus £7 million. The 2012/13 option I suspect is already blown out the water and if you are going to pay the sort of sums being suggested for a manager then that cuts out wriggle room!

At this point in time I am unaware of any new or significant uplift to commercial deals which will be able to frank wage increases and input from a benefactor is not allowed

Little things mate, such as the bridging loans we have been getting every Summer, bar this 1, that saves us a few £000000s with regards interest payments, then theres other things like Other Operating Costs, im pretty sure we will see that figure reduce, then its about growing the commercial side, the current "owner" has over the years signed steady income deals, cos we were hand to mouth and couldnt risk any slight decreases, all that will change, we will grow the business off the pitch to help the football on the pitch.

New broom, new ideas, new mindset.

NEW MINDSET, without that nothing will change! Massively important.

Fair post mate, I am writing an article about this currently which will be published early next week.

Be interesting to see if you feel that there are other investors coming on board apart from Mr Moshiri. My gut feeling is that his background suggests that there will be former Soviet Republic monies coming in

@The Esk - above - quotes read like a PR / political comments in response to pressure than having any real reality.

i.e.

Yes yes we've a good relationship with the second largest shareholder. We need more diversity on the board.

Usmanov isn't joining the board any time soon

etc etc etc

In otherwords he's not joining their board.

Yes but still doesn't mean he's leaving Arsenal for all the reasons I have already spoken about with regards to the difficulty he would have disposing of his shares even if he wished to do so.

Turnover in the next 4 years should be from a start point of £180-190 million financial year 2016/17 (depending upon team performance) rising to perhaps £220 million in 2019/20 subject to commercial and sponsorship revenues having been renegotiated. A new stadium should add up to £30 million to that figure. Being optimistic and saying we have CL football, revenues by 2021/22 should be in the order of £300 million assuming a similar broadcasting deal.

My figures at @MoutsGoat were simply figures without considering projected increases.

As such they were ultra conservative.

Not meaningless. Your figures are more sophisticated and more probable.

As someone with no expertise in football business it certainly seems to me that Moshiri alone will not be able to finance us to the level we need to compete with the elite.

We will be a hugely more attractive proposition for additional investment if we can win silverware, grow commercially and get a new stadium, which is effectively the mandate Moshiri has already given himself.

In one sense the amateur and short-sighted way the club has been run for 25+ years at least means that our potential for growth and development must surely rank amongst the best in the Premier League. We are almost starting from a blank canvas but with great history and a terrific fan base behind us in the richest league in the world.

I would like to see Moshiri here for a very very long time. This is his project, hopefully his passion now, and if we can benefit in future from additional outside investment, we would get the best of both worlds.

Surely if Usmanov wanted to invest in Everton, both he and Moshiri could have disposed of their Arsenal shareholding simultaneously?

I would welcome anyone coming on board to work with Moshiri, be it through taking a stake or anyone he can attract to joining the board or become part of the executive management.

We are ripe for significant improvement on all levels and before Martinez wreaked havoc, managed to stay in the top six on meagre resources with no stated ambition.

We have committed, forward-looking, and ambitious leadership now. We can and should be able to do much, much better now.
