Oh I don't know, maybe because strangely enough football = £££. Owners can put tons of money in but done properly and they get even more back.
Agree. So if done properly does that not suggest he is therefore a football man?

He appears to be bringing experts in their respective fields, ie Director of Football, to make the, hopefully, best decisions he isn't up for. It appears the same to the Board.I do worry that people automatically assume because he's a successful businessman that he'll be a successful owner, too. I've read lots of people saying he'll pick the best manager, spend the right money on the team, keep our best players etc. but let's be fair none of us knew anything about him before he bought our shares.
His experience has been a part-shareholder at Arsenal with zero input from what I gather on the club only due to his friendship with Usmanov.
I think it's being naive to think Everton will see guaranteed healthy changes; he could just be another Randy Lerner or worse.

Moshy has been part of Arsenal. Some owners dont know Jack about football when they buy their clubs. So you can stop it yeah. We have an owner who knows PL through and through. Thats huge bonus.
His open letter of 2012.
On the contrary says otherwise. In writing.
If he isn't a footballing man why has he been involved within a football club for a long time?
Why did he just fire his manager for inept performance?
Why has he recognised Everton need to increase revenues to grow as a football club?
Why has he been working on the purchase for over 18 months for the club?
Even if your massive assumption of him not being a football man is correct which I don't personally believe he certainly seems to be surrounding himself with football men David dein, monchi & KoemanThat letter could have been for the benefit of fans to sway opinions to push for a seat on the board.
@The Esk
With the seemingly imminent appointment of a manager and rather large costs looking to be borne by the club in terms of recruitment of players and thus salaries that go with it, is it realistic to suggest that the club is in a position where it believes it will be able to sustain such costs through increased revenues?
Does it point to new commercial strategies being devised as well as significant movement on the stadium?
Is Koeman really a done deal think those reports from yesterday were eggsateratedIt's a very good point mate. Initially we are going to spend big against static income other than broadcasting revenues increasing. That's not too huge a problem to begin with but it will eat into our ability to spend on players looking forward, not so much from a cash point of view but from the way football accounts record losses through player depreciation.
Increases in commercial and sponsorship revenues will be a major priority this coming year alongside the stadium. Chang ends at the end of next season and I'm pretty sure we will extract ourselves from Kitbag during the next 12 months also.
Equally on a competitive basis we need to bridge the gap between us and the richest clubs, over the next 5 years the 6 highest income earners will on average each earn £1 bn more than we do in revenues. To compete we need to bridge that gap.

I wonder if we will buy back Finch Farm?
This will never be more so than this summer. Look at how much Newcastle spent and still went down. We are going to see a summer of bang average players going for 15-25 million as all clubs have money burning holes in their pocket - buying from English clubs will be really hard. If we want 40-50 million for our best players what will we get charged? Even abroad if you fancy a player their agent will hawk the potential signing right across the prem - the likes of West ham Stoke etc have proved they will pay big money, so any potential target's price and wages will just go up and up. The real success stories for next season will be down to one thing and that's recruitment and there will be many gambles by everyone in the league. Interesting times ahead but no guarantees for anyone. While we breathed a sigh of relief at the RS for not getting Champions League and attracting the best players, we will find it even harder. If were paying up £6-7mil in wages for koeman then i think perhaps Moshiri wasnt the best choice of investor after all.
A fool and his money are easily parted.
